In Japan, plum wine is called UME-SHU (oo-may-shoo), Ume means Japanese Plum and Shu means liquor. The Ume fruit has been one of the most revered fruits in oriental culture for centuries. The soft, fragrant blossoms of the Ume-tree are the first to show the arrival of spring with elegant aromas and for this reason, the Ume is called "the King of flowers and trees." The Ume-fruit is rich in citric acid just like lemons and oranges. Ume is considered a healthy food, and also contains affluent minerals such as potassium and iron.

Choya is a sweet dessert wine with a flavor reminiscent of maraschino cherries. Excelent to mix with other liquors to make cocktails such as saketini's. A perfect aperitif served with the fruit in the glass (special design of bottle allows access to fruit). Japan's best-selling brand. Alcohol 14.6%.
