This sake is not often seen in the United States. It represents exceptional quality and craftsmanship in the sake production process. Sogen has an appropriate name, as it is both rough and delicate at the same time. The rice is milled to Ginjo level quality but the brewing process is handled like a Junmai, making for a refined and delicate sake with a delightful blending of fruit/grain and some floral nuances in both aroma and flavor. This is perhaps the best made Junmai sake available in the US today. Balanced and smooth, this is the consummate sake drinkers sake. Gift-boxed.
